A new pattern - Twist and Shout

In the nick of time for August - here's Twist and Shout.

I finished quilting it yesterday. Sadly, not at all my best quilting job (even by my admittedly low standards, this one is particularly bad. I guess I should baste my quilts more carefully.)

However, I love the pattern. I actually helped my mom a fair bit with this make, I think I made the first half of the quilt, and she finished it up. It goes so quickly! The blocks are a modified rail-fence/snowball, and both are very easy to construct.

This particular quilt is heading to a little baby boy (not yet born, both me and my mom should be astounded at our lack of procrastination!) Again, baby quilts are such a great make! They are a lovely and meaningful present, and also a quick way to try a pattern out.

  3. I love this pattern and the colours you chose. Is it an EPP quilt or machine sewed?
    I love baby quilts, too.

    1. It is machine sewn - I'm embarrassed to admit, but I actually don't know how to paper piece.

  5. Love the color combo. The bold colors and 'tile-like' design almost reminds me of the beautiful Moroccan tile designs. You should google them and have a look!

    1. Thanks, Stephanie! Moroccan tiles were actually the inspiration for this quilt, (and many of my other patterns as well.) I've credited the inspiration in the actual pattern, but clearly forgot to do it here!

  6. This is another amazing work from you Reethi. I really love the pattern, and this can really make a statement in a room. I am really hoping that the business equipment financing that I applied for be approved. I can't wait for new equipment that will allow me to sew as beautifully as yours.
